Updates

Still here.

Still reading very slow - especially since I have 4 non-fiction to read this month (1 late blog tour, 2 blog tours in April, and 1 for April book club) and it's taking me much, much longer to read, due to lack of energy, and also spending time reading on baby stuff instead (much to learn!!)

Sorry if I haven't visited your blog for a while :( It's tiring for me to read online so I can only read so much everyday... especially since at work I am in front of the computer most of the time.

The exciting news is that we found out that the baby is healthy so far, and that it's a boy :)

For some reasons I thought it'd be a girl. I did a bunch of those gender prediction tests, but the results were half-and-half... but now we know for certain!

Now onto thinking of baby names... it took us forever to come up with our cat names... so we need to start early!

  1. So excited for you! I can imagine that it will be tiring for you to read. Looking forward to what name you choose. :)

    1. It'd probably take us until mid-August (due date) to come up with a name, we're so indecisive lol! Plus my husband has weird associations. A perfectly fine name for most people, and he'd come up with something weird so now I can't use it due to the association! We'd most likely have a few choices going to the hospital and see which one fits the baby.

  2. CHRISTA!!!!!!! I put you on my 'schedule' tomorrow, lol. I was thinking baby is taking over already :-) Congrats on baby being a boy, lots to look forward to. I chose to go the route of surprise.

    1. Haha it's fatigue and laziness taking over :) It took us forever to find names for the cats, so we need time since now we can just use any creative word like Sesame ;) Knowing the sex means we only have to come up with one set of names, half the work! :) So far my best read this year is The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino (4.5 Stars), Cinder (Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer (4 Stars), The Fault in Our Stars by John Green (4 Stars) and Dirty Little Secrets by C.J. Omololu (4 Stars) - ha, 3 of them are YA. That's about as much attention as I have...

  3. Great to hear all is going well! And with your wide reading, imagine all the wonderful baby names you'll be able to think up too.

    1. Unless there is too strong of an association lol - like if we name him Edward or Jacob (not that they are the names I am thinking of using) people would think I choose them from Twilight hehe.

  6. I swore mine was a boy. But she turned out to be a fabulous girl.
    Good luck name shopping.
    It took me FOREVER.
I even took to my blog for suggestions.
    Happy reading.
Glad to see you're doing better.

    1. I have been reading lots of baby name forum. What makes it challenging is our last name... the first syllable sounds like a body part that can be easily teased...
