Baby is here!
I know I had been MIA, but Baby Mental Foodie is here! He was born last week and we'd been home a few days... we're all still adjusting but each day is getting better. We're both doing well though :)
We'll see when I'll have time to read (I AM reading a book but only a few pages a day...) and we'll see if my reading tastes has changed (e.g. mother/family books don't appeal to me much before...)
Hope all of you are happily reading away :)

Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
DeleteI'm tickled 'blue' for you :-)
ReplyDeleteThe baby or mom book phase don't last long.
If you are in that mood though a fun mystery one to try is the Maternal Instincts Mysteries by Diana Orgain.
I can't remember if you like audiobooks, I can't get into them but other new moms that are bloggers seem to love them.
Thanks for the Diana Orgain recommendation, haven't heard of her before. I usually fall asleep with audio... but who knows, may be worth a try?! But I'd prob still fall asleep being sleep deprived lol. Hehe clever about tickled 'blue' :)
DeleteCongrats!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteCongratulations to all three of you! Great news! (I read a lot of short light mysteries during the long hours spent feeding....but otherwise my reading tastes didn't change!)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new addition!
Thank you! I need to see if you're on your road trip yet (or are you done?!) So behind with everyone's blogs...
DeleteCongratulations! You are in for a fun ride :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
DeleteCongratulations!!! I'm sure you'll have time to read again before you know it! :--)
ReplyDeleteThanks, and I hope so!! :)
DeleteCongratulations! I hope everything is going well for you. I actually read more when I had a little baby (after I'd recovered from the birth!) as babies are the perfect excuse to sit down and do nothing. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I hope it'd be a bit easier to find time to read once we get his routine nailed down... something to look forward to right?!
DeleteOh my gosh, how did I miss this?? Super congrats, embarassingly late. I hope things are going well :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Still adjusting... and learning everyday lol, don't think it'd ever stop, since there really isn't a parenting guide that tells you what to do! :)
DeleteOMG how did I miss this? Congrats sweetie!
ReplyDeleteYou hanging tough?
The first 6 months are the hardest but I promise it gets easier.
Hehe it's okay, I know how busy it gets being a mum (can say that now :) ) We're blessed that he's a pretty good baby, but it is still such a big lifestyle change!
DeleteBTW, becoming a mama changed my taste too. I now really connect with mother's in books and before I didn't dig that perspective at all. Come to think of it, I read a lot less YA these days. I don't mind male perspective YAs and actiony stuff but I can't take the mundane sometimes whiny female narrators. Oooo and motherhood solidified my love for audios. Good luck finding what works for you.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think now I'd understand the mama-children books more... and I can see how audio is handy!
